Round 2: The US Congress should adopt legislation designed to reduce gun violence in America

Yet another round we actually had spent a good amount of time talking about! We had several practice rounds and even had hosted a public debate on the issue. So most of us were ready to go and made all the standard liberal hippie-dippie arguments or NRA talking points, with the exception of one our teams running legalize weed to cut down on gang violence (apparently we’re getting a reputation for running this plan on a fairly regular basis now). Other than that, there wasn’t too much to note in the rounds. We’ve gotten pretty straightforward policy resolutions so far, so we fully expect a metaphor or value topic next round.
